Vancouver Canuck Rick Rypien Shoves Fan

Vancouver Canuck’s Rick Rypien has been suspended indefinitely pending a hearing with the League.  During last nights game VS. the Minnesota Wild he shoved a fan.  You can see the video of on youtube

Rick Rypien was given a double minor for roughing and a 10 minute misconduct in the second period.  While he was heading down the tunnel to the dressing room he pushed a Minnesota Wild fan that was applauding.  The fan has been identified as James Engquist.  The Vancouver Canucks went on to have a big loss, losing 6 to 2 to the Minnesota Wild.

This isn’t the first time a player has attacked a fan.  I can visually remember the time Toronto Maple Leaf forward Tie Domi sprayed water onto a Philadelphia Flyers fan.  And then the fan started pounding the glass and fell into the penalty box and had a fight with Tie Domi.

We will have to wait and see what happens to Rick Rypien.  Until then, the Canucks will have to play without him!
