Music Played at NHL Hockey Games
There is a lot of music to be heard at an NHL hockey game. They play music every time the whistle is blow and the game stops. You better enjoy Classic Rock if your going to watch a hockey game live or on TV because they play a lot of it. I love the music they play, it gets me all pumped up during the game!
Here is a list of music you can expect to hear during an NHL hockey game.
- 2 Unlimited – Get Ready For This
- AC/DC – Anything AC/DC
- Black Sabbath – Paranoid
- Darude – Sandstorm
- Def Leppard – Pour Some Sugar On Me
- Chumbawamba – I Get Knocked Down
- Crystal Method – Name of The Game
- Guns ‘N Roses – Welcome to the Jungle
- Europe – The Final Countdown
- Journey – Don’t Stop Believing
- Kiss – Rock & Roll All Night
- Marilyn Manson – Beautiful People
- Metallica – Enter Sandman
- Nickelback – Saturday
- Ozzy Osbourne – Crazy Train
- Paul Leka – Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye

The song that gives me chills every time its played when the Stanley Cup Champion team wins is:
- Queen – We Are The Champions
I will forever miss the old Hockey Night in Canada Song ( The Hockey Theme, composed by Dolores Claman and orchestrated by Jerry Toth ) which is now replaced by Canadian Gold by Colin Oberst.
If you know any other good hockey songs that I missed comment below.

Hey, nice list! I remember years ago going to a Rochester Amerks game and I didn’t know what that “ohh ohh ohh ohh” song was, and found it later on Napster(!), Zombie Nation. It is with that knowledge that I ask this question!..
So I was watching the 2018 Olympic Germany/Sweden Quarterfinal earlier today, and at the 53 minute mark (on my DVR) while Danny aus den Birken was having his helmet repaired, they played this one song for quite a while. They were talking over it the entire time so I couldn’t hear lyrics cleanly. It was a dance-type song, my mom remarked that it sounded like Backstreet Boys (that I’m not so sure about; I thought it sounded more like Flo Rida’s “Zillionaire” in the chorus), and I’m pretty sure the focal word was “Satisfaction.” It definitely wasn’t the Stones, or that “touch me” song. I’ve looked all over the place, heck, I don’t even know if its North American in origin. Asking because theres a chance that it gets played often at hockey games, and you obviously know your stuff with what they go to after whistles.
Thanks in advance!
Hey Rob,
Could it be… Satisfaction by Benny Benassi?
No, its definitely not that one. I’m “really” peeved about it because it sounded pretty cool, had me hooked to where I wanted to hear more, and I figured it’d be so easy to find. I had it on DVR for a few days, too.
I wish I had more info on it, or a better way to describe it. Thanks though!
Hey, does anybody know where I can get the music they play at a shootout? I can’t seem to find it, anywhere.
Thanks in advance,
Mick
