Toronto Maple Leafs VS Vancouver Canucks 2010

So I attended the Toronto Maple Leafs game on Saturday, December 18th in Vancouver with my best friend.  The Leafs were playing against the Vancouver Canucks (obviously.)  I proudly wore my Beauchemin #22 jersey to the Sharks Club before and to the game.  I cheered my heart out, and voice (I lost my voice) for the Leafs, but they ended up loosing  4 to 1.

It is an amazing experience to go to a Toronto Maple Leafs game in Vancouver because the stadium is packed and the fans are even for both teams, if not more for Toronto.  The Vancouver Canucks fan are really mean to Leafs fans, they really hate Toronto.  I’m not sure why, never will, but that’s the first thing I learned when I moved to Vancouver.  I wish the Leafs came to Vancouver more often, but its only every few years since they switched the schedule a few years back.

I would pay any price I have to in order to get to a Leafs game in Vancouver.  This time my ticket only cost me $189 and I was 25 rows behind the net.  Last time I went in 2008 (that’s the last time the Leafs were in Vancouver) I paid $200 for the very last row in the arena.  I lucked out this year because I got in on the presale and I didn’t have to buy from someone on Craigslist.

I got a free Leafs hat from the fan beside me because he gave up on the Leafs.  I would NEVER do that. haha.  Even though the Leafs lost the game I still walked out of the arena with Beauchemin #22 on my back proud to be a fan! GO LEAFS GO!

By the way, I have the Beauchemin jersey just because we have the same last name and my brother plays in the Junior B, and they both wear #22.  He is not my necessarily favorite player hehe.

Vancouver Canuck Rick Rypien Shoves Fan – Update

NHL’s Vancouver Canucks Rick Rypien has been suspended for six games following the altercation with a Minnesota Wild Fan on Tuesday.  The Canucks have also been fined $25,000 for the incident.  Rick Rypien will return to the line up on November 6th against the Detriot Red Wings.

You can read about the incident by clicking here

Vancouver Canuck Rick Rypien Shoves Fan

Vancouver Canuck’s Rick Rypien has been suspended indefinitely pending a hearing with the League.  During last nights game VS. the Minnesota Wild he shoved a fan.  You can see the video of on youtube

Rick Rypien was given a double minor for roughing and a 10 minute misconduct in the second period.  While he was heading down the tunnel to the dressing room he pushed a Minnesota Wild fan that was applauding.  The fan has been identified as James Engquist.  The Vancouver Canucks went on to have a big loss, losing 6 to 2 to the Minnesota Wild.

This isn’t the first time a player has attacked a fan.  I can visually remember the time Toronto Maple Leaf forward Tie Domi sprayed water onto a Philadelphia Flyers fan.  And then the fan started pounding the glass and fell into the penalty box and had a fight with Tie Domi.

We will have to wait and see what happens to Rick Rypien.  Until then, the Canucks will have to play without him!

Meet Vancouver Canucks Alex Burrows and Mason Raymond

You can meet Vancouver Canucks player Alex Burrows and Mason Raymond on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 in Surrey, British Columbia.  They will be at the grand opening of two RBCs.  The event runs from 10:30 AM till 4:00 PM.

Alex Burrows, #14  Left Winger from the Vancouver Canucks will be at the Morgan Crossing branch at 15795 Croydon Drive in Surrey.  He is currently injured for play so hopefully he still attends the meeting.

Mason Raymond, #21 Left Winger will be at the Clayton Heights branch at 18676 Fraser Highway in Surrey.

I won’t be attending since I’m not a fan of the Vancouver Canucks but I thought I’d post about it for the fans.

Just found out that the local firefighters will be firing up the grill for the event!  That sounds like a good reason to attend!  Sexy firemen 😉 haha

NHL Hockey Game Leafs VS. Canucks

Good news!

I have successfully purchased two tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs VS. the Vancouver Canucks for September 18, 2010.

I had to pay $190 per ticket, and it was all worth it.  I am in row 25 behind the net! Wahoo!

Now the waiting game begins.  I better pull out my Leafs jersey and make sure it still fits.  I think I will purchase a new Toronto Maple Leaf jersey for this game.  There is a player on the Leafs, Francois Beauchemin.  I am going to buy his jersey seeing as we have the same last name.

If you have never been to a Toronto Maple Leafs game in Vancouver then I suggest you go!  It is very intense and exciting.  You will meet crazy hardcore fans.  I usually get a lot of haters when I go, but also a lot of people cheering with me.  It is a lot of fun, but the tickets to that game are always very expensive.

Well maybe I will see some of you at the game! Or at some other games this season!
